Web Design

*- Pending client approval of final design, then reset time if not satisfied.

We use many aspects of creating a website. Not only is look and feel important when designing a website, but the website must also be designed in a way that is friendly for the search engines to index.  We stay away from using graphically heavy sites such as flash and large picture files, due to the known fact that internet surfers have a low tolerance for downloading websites.  As part of our design package , we also host your site for you on very fast servers, with dedicated IP address, and use content delivery networks and caching to serve those files to the end user as fast as possible.  Page load times have recently become a factor in search engine results and we make your SEO the #1 priority in designing a website.  Sometimes the adage of “Less is more”  truly works in web design. Going2Media also implements WordPress for our clients who want to get directly involved in their web site maintenance. We are able to teach our clients how to use it and manage their site from their home or business.  We as an internet marketing company in New Jersey can also do this task for our clients who feel they want an off-hands approach.

Hosting

Your website will be hosted on our servers that have 99.9% uptime with redundant backup systems to assure you that all the information on your site will never be lost. They are also hosted on non-shared servers which is a positive factor when it comes to find-ability and search engine optimization.
We have set the servers with top of the line network capabilities.

  • Gigabit uplink with a guaranteed 20mbit connection
  • Fully redundant network with no single point of failure
  • Multiple layers of network security
  • Multiple bandwidth providers (AboveNet, ATT, Comcast, Global Crossing, Level(3), NTT)

We also use the latest in cutting edge technology.

  • - Dell PowerEdge Servers
  • - Fully Customized Hardware Specs
  • - Dual Nehalem CPUs (16 Hyperthreaded cores)
  • - Fault Tolerant RAID-10 Disk Array with Enterprise Drives
  • - DDR3 ECC RAM

On Page SEO architecture

We use these attributes and strategies  when developing your website.

  • Search engine spiders, otherwise known as “bots” crawl  a site by following both internal and external links.  If a page is not accessible by a link from anywhere, it won’t be found and indexed by the search engines.
  • Using keyword anchor text links gives the spiders clues about page relevance and internal link reputation – in addition, providing the end user a richer reading experience by not placing links that just say “click here”.
  • We avoid using JavaScript menus because they confuse search engine spiders. Most spiders, as of yet,  are not able to execute code such as JavaScript.
  • For the very same reason, we do not use Flash on any of our sites. Sure they are pretty, and give a user a nice experience once they arrive to your site, but quickly becomes annoying to repeat costumers as they wait for the site to load. In this day and age, speed is a factor for a great web visitor experience. The faster a page loads, the less time that person wastes in finding the right information about your business.
  • As a general rule, if the links to your other pages aren’t simple HTML codes, then the search engines may not recognize it as a link to follow.
  • Internal linking, and especially link anchor text, is a very important factor in pages showing up and ranking in search engines.  We use targeted keywords within your anchor text to increase relevancy and improve search engine result positons.
  • In many cases, especially on  large sites, the only links to certain pages are internal. That’s why it’s very important to make sure all pages have visibility through a hard coded link.  We accomplish this by giving the search engines what they want, which is a “sitemap”. We create one for all the sites we do in the XML format, that is the universal format that the big search engines want their robots to crawl first.
  • Links are also how Google determines how to pass Page Rank or ” Link Juice” .  Although Google’s Page Rank is not the deciding factor in where a page ranks in the organic results for a particular key phrase, it is an important component of Google’s ranking algorithm. This is basically an authoritative score they generate to help their spiders determine how trustworthy the site is and it’s relevance.

There are several solutions that allow web sites to develop robust internal linking networks while at the same time not overcrowding pages with hard-coded links. The following are just a few examples:

  • Site Map – As explained earlier, is a special page that has a hard coded link to every page in the site. We also make sure a link to the site map is hard-coded onto every page, usually in the footer.  On the site map page itself, we also use keyword rich anchor text links to help the page relevance and page reputation. The links that we create also are rich in keywords in order to make sure that the individual page has been optimized .
  • We avoid using the old style of navigation menus from GIF or JPEG images to CSS layering in tables or JavaScript combination to ensure that anchor text exist within http link coding.
  • A robust and properly done site navigation system will include internal cross linking and will facilitate search engine crawling, indexing, and ranking all pages in the site.
  • When creating content for you we will be  using embedded links within content copy, keeping in mind to use keyword anchor text for proper use of passing “link juice”.

Using Twitter

We will set up, if you haven’t yet, a Twitter account. What we do with the account at twitter is engage your current customers and new prospects. We will be there to possibly answer questions from them, or pass them on to you. We will also at your discretion run your current marketing campaigns such as special sales, coupons, changes in products, product announcements and more. We will also work hard for you to attain new followers on a daily basis by interacting with your community on your behalf. Great examples would be like following questions people may ask and see if your business can provide the service or goods they are inquiring about. We will also design your twitter page at no extra charge.

Localized optimization

We will optimize your site so it can be found in localized search engine results pages including positions on maps that are on the search engines like Bing and Google.  We will provide all the information needed in order for you business to be found. This is a great service that all small business need to have in order to survive  in today’s tech savvy world with users taking search on their mobile phones and more. If someone is looking for you, you can bet we will be there to be found!

Backlink campaign

Fisrt of all you are probably asking What are “backlinks”?

Backlinks are web site links that point or direct towards your website. Also knows as Inbound links. The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website. However not all backlinks are created equal. Some links just point to the site with the web address, some use the anchor text of “link” or “Click Here” and most importantly as discussed earlier using anchor text in the link that has the keywords that are relevant to the content of the page it is pointing at. Backlinks are important for SEO because since search engines, especially Google, will give more credit to websites that have a good number of quality backlinks, and consider those websites more relevant than others in their results pages for a search query. It basically uses the # of inbound links to your site as a scoreboard or a measure of popularity. However as I stated earlier, not all backlinks are created equal. Sites that are highly thought of by the internet community have a higher authoritative link score than others. That is why some sites rank higher than others if they receive a few links from a high authoritative site , rather than a site that gets thousands of links from sites that have no authority at all. Usually those sites tend to be spam, and the search engines penalizes them accordingly. That being said, the nature of building backlinks is more of an art than a science. That is what we know and do best as well.

When search engines calculate the relevance of a site to a specific keyword, they consider the number of QUALITY inbound links to that site. So you should not be satisfied with merely getting inbound links, it is the quality of the inbound link that matters. Sometimes ” Less is more “.
A search engine considers the content and the theme of the sites to determine the QUALITY of a link. When inbound links to your site come from other sites, and those sites have content related to your site, these inbound links are considered more relevant to your site. If inbound links are found on sites with unrelated content, they are considered less relevant and usually ignored by the search engines. It makes no sense to obtain back links from a flower site if your site is an auto repair shop. The higher the relevance of inbound links, the greater their quality, the higher your search engine result will be.

For example, if your site has an article or page about how to “fist pump” at the Jersey shore , and received a backlink from another website about club dancing, then that would be more relevant in a search engine’s assessment than say a back link from a site about making cupcakes. The more relevant the site is that is linking back to your website, the higher the quality of the backlink becomes.
